Latest information 2 March 2021

Sadly, Hullistic remains closed to hands-on services (see my Facebook video January 2021 for more information about this).

Under the government's plans to reopen over the coming months, Hullistic may be able to reopen in April 2021.  However, this date is not definite and may be subject to change.

Due to the uncertainty over the reopening date, I am not accepting any bookings right now.  I do have a list of all the clients who had bookings with me for Jan/Feb and I will ensure I will contact you first directly when I have a reopening date, before I open my book to general bookings.

If you didn't have a booking in Jan/Feb, whether you're a current or new client, please get in touch and I will add you to the list.

I am still available to give virtual self-care advice to my current clients, should you need it.

I will be charging all new clients £10 on top of your session fee for your first session from when I reopen.  This is to reflect the additional length of time needed for your first appointment, due to consultation and assessment (usually 20 - 30 mins extra).

Finally, if you are on Facebook, make sure you're following Hullistic! The most up-to-date information will be posted there.  However, if you want any more information on updates, or  have any other questions, please contact me via text or phone.

England CoVID-19 restrictions 5 Nov to 3 Dec 2020

In light of the increase in infection rate and the resulting pressures on the NHS, the government placed England in to restricted measures from 5 Nov to 3 Dec 2020.

Hullistic is able to remain partially open this time, so I can still look after clients.  There are restrictions on what work I can do and it must only be on those clients judged to be requiring essential care.

For more information about this, please contact me on 07981 320498.

I thank you all for your ongoing support and understanding.

Great news!  Hullistic has reopened

21/7/2020

Hello everyone!

I'm so pleased to say that Hullistic reopened on 16th July 2020 following the easing of lockdown restrictions in England.

Treatments are restricted, as are appointment times, but it is wonderful to be able to look after everyone again.

The first few people through my doors love my new studio and really appreciate that everything has been designed to give as relaxing an experience as possible under the restrictions.

I am taking bookings via calls and texts during my opening hours, so please get in touch on 07981 320498.

Respect Massage campaign

11 July 2020

I've had several of what I will refer to politely as "dodgy" calls in the past couple of weeks, asking for immediate massage, plus other things I cannot say in polite company. I won't say further than that, but you may work out what the implications are.

These calls have increased in frequency since the government have announced that we can return to work. Some of them are very unpleasant, even taking in to context the subject of the call in to consideration.

The sad thing is, I am not, nor I will be, the last therapist to be on the receiving end of these calls.

I always maintain my professionalism during these calls. At times this is very difficult, but I do it as a representative of my industry. Usually I have a brush them off as a sad consequence of working as a massage therapist.

However, my patience is starting to wear, especially after the past few days of calls. Some of them have left me feeling dirty, degraded and ashamed, even though I have not done anything wrong. It has made me angry that I have been made to feel this way.

I have had enough and have finally decided that I will no longer tolerate this behaviour. These calls and texts are unacceptable and I do not have to put up with it as an "unfortunate" consequence of the job I do. I deserve to feel safe in my work.

So to make it crystal clear before I reopen:

I DO NOT, HAVE NOT, OR EVER WILL OFFER SEXUAL SERVICES

I am a highly trained, fully qualified and professionally registered massage therapist. I have spent a long time working hard to craft my skills to benefit those who need help with muscular issues.

This is why I have decided to join the Respect Massage campaign, a movement started to try and stamp out the disrespect shown to those in my profession.

I am lucky that my current clients are very respectful of who I am and what I do. They are careful who they recommend me to and respect the boundaries. I am very grateful to each and every one of them for this.

So, this message is really for those who may be be wanting to use my services in the future. While I respect the choice of those who wish to work in the sex industry, I am not someone who does.

From now on, anyone who calls or texts me in this context will have their information passed to the police.

So please, pass the message on. The sooner we are treated as the professionals we are, the better.

Thank you.

Latest information and price increase

Hello everyone,

I hope you are keeping safe and well in the current situation.  It has been such a long time since I have done any hands-on work!  It's been a while since I put an update on my website, so here's the latest information.

Reopening

I have had a few people ask me when I will be reopening.  At present, according to the current information from the government, the absolute earliest I may be able to reopen would be early July.  That said, if the transmission/infection rate increases, then the reopening date will be delayed.

As soon as I know I can reopen, I will start booking my clients in.  I will be contacting those on my waiting lists in the following order:

  • Those with an acute muscular issue/ongoing chronic issue they have asked for virtual help for during lock-down.

  • Those who had an appointment cancelled due to the lock-down.

  • Those who are current clients who have requested to be added to my waiting list.

Once I have worked through these lists I will open my appointments to current clients who are not on my waiting list, then finally to new clients.

If you have used Hullistic before and have not been asked to be included on the waiting list, then please get in touch with me and ask to be added.

New location, new opening hours

As you are by now hopefully aware, when I do reopen I will no longer be a mobile therapist.  I have secured a space at the Chamberlain Business Centre on Chamberlain Road in Hull and look forward to treating you all in my new Hullistic Studio when I reopen!

When I do reopen, my business hours will change to:

Tues, Fri, Sat 9 am - 4 pm

Wed, Thurs 12 noon - 7pm

Closed Sun, Mon and Bank Holidays

Price changes

Due to generalised increased costs, plus the additional costs of the PPE I will be required to wear and supply, the extra cost of additional cleaning and sanitation needed, and also the restrictions on how many people I will be able to treat in a day, I regret to say I have no choice but to increase my prices.  I have kept the increases as small as possible.  The new prices are live on this website now and will be effective from when I reopen.

Changes to treatments

When I reopen, there will be changes to how appointments are made and how the treatments are delivered.  This is still in the planning stage, but once it has been finalised I will make sure it is on here for you to view.

Keep up to date

I will try to keep you as up to date as possible as I inch closer to being able to reopen.  If you want more frequent updates, then please go to my Facebook page www.facebook.com/Hullistic

Take care, stay safe and well.

CORONAVIRUS AND HULLISTIC APRIL 2020

20th April 2020

Hullistic remains closed to hands-on treatment.  However, for clients who were using Hullistic before the UK government lock-down can still access help and support from me on 07981 320498,  10am to 5pm Mon - Fri.

The lock-down was extended for a further three weeks on 16th April.  With this extension, I will now be getting in touch with everyone who was booked in with me at the end of April/start of May to cancel your appointments.

Sadly, I cannot say when I will reopen at this stage - it is not my decision to make at the moment, but that of the UK government.  However, rest assured that as soon as I am able to I will reopen to clients new and old.  Best of all, when I reopen it will be in my new, permanent base in Chamberlain Road!

Keep safe and take care everyone,

Kyra x

Coronavirus and Hullistic

21st March 2020

Hello everyone.
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, Hullistic will be temporarily closing to all hands-on treatments with immediate effect.
This applies to any treatment that you may have booked to receive in your homes.
I have contacted all those who have appointments with me next week to cancel their bookings. I will be contacting those who have an appointment with me over the next few weeks in due course. However, if you have an upcoming appointment with me and wish to get in touch with me yourselves, feel free to do so.
As you know, I have done my best to keep going over the past couple of weeks in constantly changing circumstances. However, the most recent advice given to those in my profession is to stop direct contact. Given the strength of tone of this advice I now feel compelled to do the right thing for everyone in the Hullistic community, even if it means I won't be seeing you for a while.
In the meantime, I will be keeping in touch with you all and even better I will be starting some exciting online services for you all in the next few days! 😀 I'm just sorting out the logistics of this over the weekend, so keep an eye on my Facebook and Instagram pages for more information!
For now all online bookings have been stopped.
Any outstanding gift vouchers issued will be honoured if they are due to expire in the next couple of months (from 23 March onwards) when I reopen.
I will still be available for you to contact for any help I can give. Just call or text me on 07981 320498 during my usual opening hours.
I still hope open my office at the end of April, but the opening date may have to change due to the fluid situation we find ourselves in.
I thank you all for being so understanding at this difficult time for everyone. You've all been so kind.
Take care of each other, follow the advice given by Public Health England and the NHS. Wash your hands!
Much love to you all
Kyra

Neon Hello

Welcome to Hullistic's News page!

9th January 2020

Hello everyone!

I'll start by wishing a happy 2020 to you all!

I hope you had a good time celebrating Christmas and the New Year.  I did and now I'm ready for all that 2020 brings.

One of the things I like to do is keep Hullistic feeling fresh by ensuring what I provide is relevant and up-to-date, so I can meet the needs of my clients.  I have mainly used Facebook to do this in the past, but some of the changes coming are more detailed and so I thought having a news page on my website would be very useful to you all.

It is not intended to be a blog page, but will be used to post the most significant updates to Hullistic when needed.

I hope you enjoy this new page :)
